Tortugas Banks was a dead end, but i began to research the Mayaimi. They were a group that lived around present day Lake Okeechobee. I think I'll head in that direction and see what I find. I found the picture of a map online.
Also a photo has recently surfaced after about 20 years of hiding. It was seen in a news article about a man who died recently. about 20 years earlier he took a picture of some "Strange people" coming out of the lake. It was reported about 5 hours later that 3 people had gone missing. Looks like another mystery too me. Here is the photo.
The photo is old. But Looks like I'll have more then i can chew when i get there.
